I can consistently reproduce a problem with 1080P60 in both MOV and MP4 where I get a blue screen and stops the recording. I have tried everything I can think of to no avail.
Missed a once in the lifetime opportunity while on a Water taxi in Venice, and now I am bummed.

Anybody know of a fix?

Hi.

Plz change another resolution or frame rate to check whether osmo can work.

1.Could u plz click setting->general->about in camera View when connected with osmo to tell us the firmware version u r using.

2.u r in PAL or NTSL?

3.did u use the original sdcard with osmo?

2.Would plz repeat the operations on the original sdcard?
The original sdcard is fully tested. Some compatibility issues may happen according the sd card u r using.

I am using the newest version of SanDisk Ultra64GB SDXC UHS-1/Class 10

I tested with the card that it shipped with and same outcome,again here is the symptom

I set for 1080P 60 and the unit records from 3- 5 seconds blues screens then changes to 4k30
I tried 1080P30 and it seems to work, so this it truly an issue with the system, not card dependent

Dang I really want this to work bought thought it would support the features based on the specs and it will not.

Can you try to format the card in the Osmo itself with through the app and then try again?

I would like you to take a picture in JPED format. You can set the format in DJI GO-setting- camera-camera format. In there, you can change the format to Jpeg, raw or Jpeg+raw.

Thanks for the advice Paul, I formatted the cards lost all Venice, Italy footage, and have same symptoms. This is a camera issue, not question about it, it records for a couple of seconds, the fan stops, the screen on the iPhone goes blue then reverts to previous working frame/resolution. IT IS CONSISTENT NO MATTER WHICH CARD, including reformat, tried on different iPhones, different cards, battery charged, 1080P60 does not work. There is an issue with the product, I have less than 10 minutes on the camera/gimbal and NO USABLE VIDEO, ZERO

I had exactly the same problem. DJI never responded to my email- after waiting 50 hours I sent the unit back. I wish you more luck than I had.

I have the same problem except it blue screens with 4K at 24fps.  Every other mode works fine.  I've also tried multiple different cards, all formatted in camera.

I did the update as well and continue to have the same issue:

1080P Frame rates except for 120 records for less than five seconds blue screens the reverts back to previous frame rate configuration
Recording has flicker, although flicker control has been tested in every mode including auto

The support group at DJI are of no help as they are still asking me irrelevant questions such as:
Where did you buy?
Have your rebooted?
Have you registered the product?

I am at a loss and frustrated with this, as I had huge aspirations of using the Osmo while in Europe, and I am 9 days into a 12 day vacation and no resolve in site.

I have sold the Osmo to a few customer and 2 of them are having issues with the OSMO shutting off recording after about 5-9 seconds of recording.  

One customer brought their OSMO in to the store and as soon as he hit record the screen on his iphone tears, goes blank, and after a few seconds stops recording.  We check the SD card and nothing got recorded.

Hi,
I am having the same issue. 1080p videos seem to record only for 5-10 seconds and then i get a blue screen. And it then automatically changes to the previous screen resolution.
I have also updated to the latest firmware. OSMO Firmware v1.4.1.80. The update was successful, but the problem still persists.
I am using the lexar card that came in the box.
I am using the latest version of the dji go app.

Any solution???

My expierience is that the Lexar microSD is not the best. I could not shoot raws with this card. After changing to a faster card (90MB/s writing) from Samsung the problem is gone.

I just got a faster card. SanDisk extreme pro (90MB/s writing).
And I am still having problems with my 1080p 60fps video. I seem to get only a few seconds out of it. Then I get the blue screen.
All 4k and 720p formats seem to record fine now. I can even shoot RAW pics now.
Only the 1080p 60fps seems to be a problem
Pity cos thats the format I like the most

I am not sure if you tried this yet, but I updated to the latest firmware, then I uninstalled my DJI GO App and restarted my phone. I then re-installed my DJI Go APP and everything worked fine now. I am using the brand new Samsung Evo PLUS card with a Google Nexus 4 cellphone (old)

I tried that too.. does not work.
I just realised that after the blue screen, when it goes back to the camera view mode, it goes into the photo mode and some options are greyed out on the left.:/
I realllllly hope its not a hardware issue.

I just purchased OSMO yesterday.  I ran into similar issue where recording stops after 5-10 seconds.  However, it appears to be random.

The times that it happened to me, I was not using my phone as a remote viewer. However, my phone was connected to the OSMO WiFi AP.  Before I set out recording, I had changed the resolution to 1080p 60fps.  But, since I did not use remote viewer, I could not tell if resolution changed back to 4k.  

Regardless, there were times that I was able to record longer and stop the video myself.  In some cases, the video wouldn't stop at all. I had to put camera to sleep to stop it.

Perhaps this is a connectivity issue between the contacts of the camera base and the handle grip??

I don't know, but for $600+ out of the box, I would not expect such irregular behavior.

I will pay attention to the failures, but so far, this is unusable unless I just want 5 second clips of everything.

The other issue that cropped up was the connectivity. The Osmo connects to my phone but there won't be any display. Black screen and all the menu and other displays on the top (shutter speed, Aperture, etc etc etc.) would read N/A
:/

Anyway, I contacted DJI (through the website and by email) and after sending them the test video files, and screenshots, they asked me to send the product to a repair centre and they would do the necessary repairs for free.
I purchased it in the US and they asked me to send it to HongKong :/ :O After asking them why I could not send it to the US, they said I need to contact the NA centre directly for this. I don't know how or my my initial complaint was received by the HongKong team.
Well, I need to start the entire complain process all over again!!!!!

I have a similar problem, the recording stops with a blue screen. It is shown in all modes 4k, 2,7K, pal .ntsc. Can turn off after 1 minute, and maybe 20 minutes. What should I do ?

Is the FW the latest  version? If it's not, please upgrade to the latest one. In addition, please check the SD card, if possible, you can format your SD card or just try another new compatible SD card. Hope those methods will help you to solve the issue. Thanks!

Same problem here in CANADA  - tested all video formats 1080P60fps crashes every F'n time  - FIX it with a firmware update already - and NO the latest one 1.4.1.80 does not fix the problem DJI-Alela.

My message says - its NOT fixed - 1080 at 60fps just doesn't work - 720 at 60fps works & 4K works -
