I have just ordered a new remote control transmitter (Model NPVT581) for my P2Vision+.   What needs to be done (if anything) to get it to work?  Is binding required?  If so, are the instructions online?

Yes it will have to be bound. Then I would recommend doing the RC sticks calibration in the assistant. Binding is simple. Props off, turn Phantom upside down, RC charged up but off. Push the rebind button on the bottom of the Phantom . It's the hole on the left of the battery compartment facing you. Power up the Phantom press the binding button till it lights the turn on the RC and it should beep to indicate it's bound. You can test it to see if it starts and stops the motors. The do the calibration including the wheel.
