In an earlier thread I explained the problems I had with upgrading the firmware of the charging hub. See following text:

I received the DJI charging hub a few days ago. The function battery charging works just fine. When I tried to upgrade the firmware of the hub Windows 7 did not recognize the hub on a USB port. When trying to upgrade using the application it says Device disconnected. I did read earlier threads regarding the same issue and therefore I tried two different Windows 7 machines different USB ports and two different USB cables all with the same result?
In one of the earlier threads DJI-Tim indicated to get in touch with DJI support to get the hub fixed or replaced. Is this action still the only option?

DJI-Tim answered: rbaaij, unfortunately  in your case this  is  the only way to go.

Since I purchased the DJI charging hub from Amazon.com, I returned the defective charging hub and got a new charging hub today from Amazon.com. Unfortunately this charging hub has the exact same problem as the previous one?  (see attached pdf file)

How do I get a 100% functional DJI charging hub???

1. Send me a serial number and barcode of your hub.
2. Return this item back to Amazon.

Hi Robert,
Please buy a charging hub from any of our official dealers, but let them check if it can be connected to PC first. I've already reported this problem to our R&D department. I'm sorry for inconvenience caused!

Dear DJI-Tim,
I was hoping I could purchase a tested charging hub direct from DJI?

I contacted the DJI Dealer All e RC in Phoenix and they were willing to test a charging hub regarding the connection problem I had. They called me back to confirm they had a charging hub with they were able to connect through USB to a Windows PC  and they even tried to upgrade the firmware of this charging hub but the PC software indicated it already had the latest firmware. Great Customer support from All e RC !!!!!

Hi,i have the same issue.Win 7 and blink red led..but it says device disconnected.
