I would recommend the newest Apple laptop.
A friend of mine has one and it handles 4K footage no problem.

Agree, MacBook pro 15'   works with 4K very smooth, and everything looks just awesome on retina display

I like the Alienware Series laptops for video editing. Very fast processor and great video cards.  It truly helps with those long render times.

Jim OHare recommended MacBook Pro with retina, followed his advice with final cut application. Totally great piece of kit, renders everything beautifully and eats 4K footage for breakfast. It's expensive but Jim knows his stuff, judge for yourself by looking at his Inspire footage!
