Something is not right with this...I read on another forum that they updated with this and it killed their bird for two days??....YIKES!! He said he also got a virus message??....WTH??

Sorry guys, but no conspiracy. It's the version number that matters, not the date!!!
DJI simply moved the firmware packages from
http://download.dji-innovations.com/downloads/phantom_3/en/
to
http://dl.djicdn.com/downloads/phantom_3/en/
As part of the move they repackaged the firmware with up-to-date installation pdf instructions and dated them all with the site go-live date of 2015-11-06 for all packages.....
The actual firmware inside the zip is absolutely the same - bit for bit....
P.S. the old download site has not been decommissioned as of this posting

I did 11/6/2015 on my inspire last night 2 16 minute flights today to do battery recalibration. Not a single issue installing, or flying. Not even a warning of any type. No compass, imu, vps, poor signal. Nada!

I did a comparison with my old files, this version 2015-11-06 is exactly the same of the last one.  In DJI app the status appear working with the  last firmware.

As I said, I already tried it, nothing visibly new was instituted. Just the calendar date on the@DJI download site.  Surely they are only doing website mantainance and cleaning up old file clutter.
Nothing to be excited about. ;-)

But I always look forward, to new and exciting firmware or App improvements, and fixes.
