Hi Everyone,

I recently donated my time and equipment to make a short film about living with cerebral palsy.  It was mostly shot on the ground but I did get a few nice shots with the Inspire 1.

Even if it's not heavy on aerial shots it's still a good message, hope you like it!

Thanks Flight 1.  Real labour of love, was happy to do it.

It actually didn't take too long.  We shot it in 7 hours and I edited it in about 5 hours.  Then just poked at it a lot, as you do!

Yes Jim, that is why your work was very good as it was a very powerful reminder (visually and by message) that we take a lot of things for granted and neglect to think about those people who don't have what we use everyday.  Something I try to remind my 10 year old son about now and then.

Once again, well done.

Jim, I am heading in that direction. I save change (coins) and started rolling them to bring to the Bank. I don't know which one to get. I really like the idea of being able to change the Lens. Stay in touch and let me know which way you go.

I think for 90% of use the X5 is a great choice.  I'm only considering the X5R for very high end stuff, to fit in with my $30k cameras.

If not for that I think I'd be getting the X5 in a second.  Also the X5R is almost guaranteed to be well over $5k!

I am in agreement with you. I do see a new collection of glass on the horizon. Maybe I'll sell one of my Hasselblads? I amy even have some of that Film stuff kicking around in the Refrigerator !

Absolutely!  My only concern about the X5/X5R will be the ability to use as a single operator.  I'm thinking the additional settings and additional challenge of focus will make it a bit too much to think about while flying.   Still love to give it a try though!

Yeah, me too.  I wonder if that can be hard set or if you need to find it each time you shoot?  Many lenses intentionally go slightly past infinity.

I have no idea Jim. Hopefully it returns to infinity when you power up? On going beyond infinity, true. The focusing is an interesting question. Maybe you have to use your screen to see if the image is in focus? That could be a problem with people that have eyesight issues such as myself. I am a minus 2 diopters.

Beautiful video Jim, thanks for sharing! I can't imagine how frustrating it must be for her on a day to day basis with simple tasks.

I'm happy to see that she's found a way to express herself through all this, wouldn't have been possible without you Jim, cheers!

It can be challenging to match Inspire footage with other cameras, especially indoors, but it can add a great sense of movement.

I know you are a true professional the work is outstanding as well as the content all was very nicely done aerials or not.
