I ordered an Osmo the first day it was announced but I still haven't gotten a shipment notification. I ordered it with the bike mount so maybe that held it up some.

I want to make an accessory for it and I was wondering the diameter of the Rosette mount. If any of you with a cliper handy can measure this I would love to know the size.

Here are some photos I found online of the ARRI style ones for reference. It seems like there is a difference between RED and ARRI but I have neither system.

David,

Just FYI - I also ordered on the first day available and have not gotten shipment notification either. Not that it helps much, but I feel your pain ;)

Sorry to hear some of you have not received your products yet, we have a shelf full of Osmos just sitting here waiting for new owners.

Hi David, did you find a solution for this?

I just picked up an osmo mobile - looking for some ideas.

best thing I could think of is to pick up a third party extension arm and unscrew the rosette from that- but then problem is to find a suitable 1/4 screw the right length to reach through to the mount.

issue is the contours of the osmo body protrude slightly from the rosette mount itself- so even a mini ball head mount rubs up against the side and sites slightly off kilter.
Its probably not good for the mount over a prolonged period.

as long as you have enough threads...use a washer to offset the body protrusion.
