i thought the phantom is 2.4ghz.
do i have the vision?

Not sure what you plugged into where to tell you what!
I have the same model..
Mine is a P2 Vision+ V 3.0 which was the last model released prior to the Phantom 3 series.
Did you buy new/used?

Follow up question:  What are the differences besides the frequency from 2.4ghz to 5.8ghz from phantom 2, to phantom 2 vision and vision plus IF THE ENTIRE CAMERA/GIMBAL is missing.

pretty much not a thing.

without a camera and wifi the phantom is a phantom. Fly perfect with or without that stuff.
In fact being lighter it has a little more "pop" when flying.

just make sure you watch the led status light for home and GPS lock prior to flight!

i am just figuring i can get the Camera for the Phantom 2 vision much cheaper than the camera/gimbal of the phantom 2 vision+.
i just want to make sure it will be compatible (cables and all) or i need to buy some electronic module?

I would think it worth a few extra bucks to not have to modify everything to do what it will do by just connecting as made. The vision cam is better as well

check with hutch for price on plus cam and gimbal unit vs basic one. He can probably price any parts you need to do what ever you decide.
