I would be grateful to receive recommendations from Members with regards to Android Tablets that perform well with the Phantom 3 Professional and the DJI GO App.

Lots of responses on this particular question if you do a search on the forum.    I personally use the NVIDIA SHIELD and have good performance with it......I always ensure I stop all unnecessary processes before opening the DJI Go APP, but I've been very happy with performance.

Samsung galaxy tab s 10.5 with a few tweaks flawless

I use a tab4 with all possible apps removed or disabled and only the DJI Go app running. Works as good as an ipad air but the ipad doesnt need any of the tweaks. One other thing is if you want to replay your flights, the ipad loads the files quicker.

if you want the best Android pad, get yourself the most expensive of Samsung ones..

Well, I'm currently running with a Nexus 2013 which, despite its age, works beautifully on Go and other programs. Fabulous screen.

new samsung Tab S2 is very good :-)

Lenovo Tab S8-50L. Cheap, 1080p screen, GPS, 4 cores, fast, Android 5.0, 8"... and they have white ones.

And DJI Go works flawless, perfectly fluent. You do not need an expensive tablet.

TabS 8.2 perfect size works flawless

Nexus 9...  Good size and plays well with GO App

With regards to size, the feedback so far seems to indicate that 8" is big enough..... yes...?   ....no...?

DJI must have done a good job with this App because it seems to be compatible with a wide range of products.  From a programming perspective the App is extremely complicated, so this is really good work by DJI.... two thumbs up.

I am currently using a Samsung Tab S2 8" and am very happy with both the performance and size of it. I very highly recommend it!

Nexus 9.  No issues.  Works a treat.

I just purchased a Samsung Tab4 7" brand new , just for drone flights. P3 advanced, has everything it should but when I went to install the go app. it tells me it is not compatible and it won't even let it download.
I've read a work around is to download it from the website not play store, but I can't find a download link any more. When going online and not through the device the playstore app shows I have it installed (And I do) on several devices but the listing also states that it is not compatible with some of my devices listing the tab 4 and saying "No Carrier" which is why all the listings on the site show phones only. It works great on my galaxy s6 but I want a larger screen that's easier on the eyes and won't be interrupting flight if I get a call or text.
This was the 2.5.1 version of DJI Go App. and no other apps on the tab 4 other than factory fresh setup with all updates in place.
Just want to put it out there so someone else doesn't make the same mistake.
My guess it needs the cellular data for the google maps maybe? any thoughts? If not I guess this is going back until I can find a reliable tablet.
Love my drone though!!

I'm with you, just picked up a tablet tonight that has Android 5 but can't download or install the app. Same message you got. I'll have to return it because this app is the only thing I wanted the tablet for. It seems like the only tablets on the official list are expensive ones and I just want an inexpensive dedicated display for my remote control unit

I don't think they are very different. I know they changed something with the battery and no longer include a stylus or the charger but short of that I think th K1 is the same unit.

I'm running a K1 and wouldn't trade it for anything (and I've had a bunch of iPads and Galaxys). JtrJr is right....no stylus, and no charger (pick them up cheap anywhere).....worth every penny of the $199. LIGHTNING fast!

Teeny-weeny print on the actual tablet says "Model P1761W" box says P/N 940-81761-2500-001. This is the one I received after the initial recall. The recalled one shows P/N 940-81761-2500-000 on the box.

Quite happy with my Nexus 9.

I'm content using Huawei Mediapad M2. Works great with no incidence of lost signal, & no lag. It's cost lesser than Ipad mini4, yet it's specs is comparable. It's 64-bit, octa-core, 5.1 Lollipop, 8" display.

Another shout for the Nexus 9....perfect companion for me so far

Almost all android devices have GPS built in. The IOS devices require the cellular version, which includes the GPS chip. You don't have to use or activate the cellular plan, just need to have this chip. Sorry, I know you are just asking about android but thought I share that. Androids have the GPS even if they are not cellular capable.
I use a Nvidia Sheild which has a 2.2 ghz processor and it works great, and it is just the tablet, no cellular capabilities, but it does have the GPS & Wifi.
