timely repair, poor return ship/missing returned battery

I sent in my P3 for repairs for abad motor on Oct, 28 2015. returned via fedex today nov. 12 2015.
opened the shipping box nicely packed with peanut. inside was the original p3 box that i shipped to dji for repairs.
the gimbel was secured with dji len cap and holder.
the craft was shipped in the original box and secured with bubblue wrap sniggly.
open the p3 box...
find the craft, controller,loose in the box...obvious signs of scuffing and marks/ damage to shell and controller.
no packing what so ever. as if just tossed in the box and shipped. dji lens cap no in place.

Also the battery was NOT returned. there was no documentation stating DO NOT SEND BATTERIES. only a note to not send if they are damaged.

great timely repair...very disappointed with the return packing and subsequent damage, and imcomplete equipment return.

Yea, i took extra care to ship mine. Bought bubble wrap. I was shock yo see it in the box like that

I can just imagine some technician finishing replacing the motor, and toss it all in the box from Chevy and it aside with total disregard. I called support today. They state they're going to ship me the battery back. And they will look into the condition of the drone itself. I have not flown it yet but I tested the motors without props today all seems to work

I try to defend DJI as best I can because I've been very happy with their product, but this is ABSOLUTELY INEXCUSABLE !!!!!!!    A lawyer would have a field day with this one!

I sent mine back this am for the no signal problem.  He told me on the phone to make sure to package it securely and carefully.   If I dont get it back the way I sent it in, I will be getting a new one.

So for those of us that need to send our units in, would you suggest to not only take pictures of how it was packed, but also put those pictures in the shipping box to show your technicians that we took said pictures so this is how we expect to receive our bird back?  Just a thought, as I've always taken pictures of the packages I've sent back to other companies, but never put pictures in the shipping box back to them.  Just a thought.

As of Monday 11/15/2015 4:23 Central time. I still have not heard back from DJI supervisor as to my complaint.  
I want my Battery returned ASAP, and information of what thier plans are for cosmetic damage to the craft.

I have flown and seems to all be in operation. i think there is a blemish on the lens...
they told me i'd have a response by tueday ( today) nothing ....
so tomorrow i call and ask for a supervisor. then call my attorney...i want my battry back and an adjustment..my craft is now for the worse....

Nope mine is in now. Less than 5 hours of flying time and I just got a bill for $244.00. INSANE!

I am a little surprised this has not been sorted by now, its odd how they can't find your RMA,  was it sent to DJI LA ?

Sometimes these things happen but it normally gets sorted fairly quickly,

Unusual for this not to have been sorted especially with Dave and Patric on the case.

Try getting him on RC groups.   DJI have made huge steps in their after sales so these kinds of thing should be come tales of the passed fairly soon. Ed is a good guy and will sort you out.

I purchased a new P3P from DJI...  Got it in my hands and the controller was not working properly.  Got a RMA and returned it to DJI.  Got detailed instructions in a email which included my RMA and mailing lable.  It spoke about proper packaging.  Packaged up the controller in bubble wrap and more peanuts.  Recieved the controller in a box, with brown paper surrounding it.  The controller was placed in the box upside down.  As soon as I removed the controller, I was able to see that the arm which holds the mobile device was cracked.  Never place a device onto the arm.  Never charge the controller...  Immediately called DJI and sent in photos.  Have not heard anything since.  I am trying to be reasonable, but I think I'm starting to lose faith...  Patrick, maybe you can provided some guidance?

I'm new to this just received my f3p. I'm Very nervous as to what would happen if I need a repair or crash it. Do they charge for repairs. I don't see anything in this thread about charges.
