right guys my head is melted with this HDMI board not working ... iv sent it back and its been tested so the board is fine ..
my RC and P3A are on 1.1.9 FW and thats the way i want to keep it but the HDMI board doesnt work with old FW apparently ????
so i read that if i had newer FW in the radio the board should work and i tried to update the radio to 1.2.8 using a USB stick for hours to no avail ...
im using the new go app on android 2.4.0 .. does the board work with 2.4.0 ?
why are we told that you can update the RC with a USB stick and it clearly cant be done ?
can anyone help me with this ? are you running old FW and using the HDMI board ?
thanks guys ....
edit ....... i can update the radio using the app but it only gives me the newest FW which is no good to me ....
As soon as you install the board the goapp should of asked you to update the R/C......It will not work on the older R/C firmware from what I understand.
yes that's fine but I don't want to upgrade to the newest FW .. im trying to find out what is the oldest FW the board will work on ....
I will prob have to upgrade everything to the latest FW because I cant upgrade my RC on its own ...
I can upgrade the RC using the app but it would be the latest FW because it doesn't give you a choice ..
I want my RC to be the oldest FW the board will operate on and I want my bird to stay on 1.19 if that's possible ... if I have to upgrade to the latest FW on the bird and the radio then I will just sell my goggles and HDMI board ....
you may be asking why not just update ? my phantom is perfect in every way on the FW I have and I want it to stay that way .. the horror stories iv been reading for months has put me off updating for a very long time ....
no log file or flashing lights nothing .. im trying to work my way up the FWs to see what one lets the HDMI board work and hopefully it will be ok with the bird being 1.1.9 FW ...
Have you unzipped the firmware file after downloading
yes mate iv done all that you say to the letter and it doesn't want to play .... I might try and use the micro sd card next in case its an issue with the USB sticks ....
