Here is a quick test of all the new color modes available in DJI Go App version 2.4.1 released today for IOS and Android. Will try and get daylight exterior clips tomorrow. But in my opinion, just like with the Phantom 3, only the D-Log and Auto ( none ) is useful

No Editing was done to the 15 second video clips. All filmed in 1920*1080 30fps and exported as 720p

Ignore the focus, I was too close to the objects as I was indoors ( dark and raining in he UK ). Still gives yuo an idea of the modes though.

Finally D-LOG <3 im happy

It is more to capture the footage in a flat profile so that you can recover the shadows and highlights later in post processing.

Are these modes applicable only to 1080?  Because in 4K I'm seeing precisely no difference between the modes in my testing this morning. Even Black and White produces glorious full colour!  In the app I'm choosing a mode by touching it, observing the tick appearing next to it, then pressing Done.  All modes identical!

Update: my iPad Mini Retina DOES control the colour settings in 4K, but my iPhone doesn't!  What's that all about!?!

Great, but are we getting sharpness control? Eg, 'sharpness -3'? What is the sharpness setting with D-Log, and what does D-Cine mean?

Same with my i6+ but once i transferred the files into my mac i saw the difference!

Not yet! its just the color profile (picture style) But its a big step already for indie filmmakers.

Re-made the color profile test video but this time outside. Crappy weather here again so it was under cloudy/raining conditions. Still think it's only D-Log that's worth using. No Editing was done to the video clips. All filmed in 4k 3840x2160 30fps with everything else in Auto setting.

Looks good and i agree the D-LOG Is the only one we need manual settings for sharpness,saturation,contrast.
