my PH3 gave compass error in flight.He became disoriented and almost lose.

What could have happened?

Have you done all the necessary calibrations?
Cold IMU, Gimbal as well as your Compass outside.
Make sure you are well away from any interference from electrical,
or any ferrous (magnetic) metal objects. ;-)

Most likely cause is that you recalibrated the compass somewhere close to a lot of iron or steel and when the Phantom got away from the magnetic distortion, the compass was now badly calibrated for the earth's normal magnetic field.
Be very careful with locations for compass calibration.

Confirm you did the Compass Calibration before flight . And fly away from the electronical and magnetical interference .  Hope it's not badly damaged .
