Hi,
I have just bought a Phantom 3 Standard for some fun as I am new to this.
My farther is a surveyer and we are keen to setup togther doing building surveys (in the UK) The P3 is actualy quite impressive but what I need is the capability to take quality close up photographs. I understand the issues around CAA and I will be training and applying for a licence.
I have been playing with a Sony RX100 with 3x optical zoom and I can get the quality I need from about 5-10 meters away from the building.
I am after advice about the most sutible platform. I want to go as cheap as will get the result I need as we start the buisness. I hae looked at the Inspire but until its avalible with a light weight optical zoom camera then I am not interested.
I was wondering if a flamewheel F550 would lift a Sony RX100 on a light gimbal, the camera is about 300 gramms? As the aircraft would always be stationary the gimbal only needs to help remove wind effect - would it need a proper gimbal?
The other option would be to mount the Sony RX100 from a Phantom?
I am reluctent to go towards somthing exspensive like a S900 when I only need a small camera payload.
Any thoughts or advice would be great,
Thanks,
Mike
