Hello, newbie here and I was just wondering what some people's opinion's are for the better and/or best Android platform phone or tablet to use with the Phantom 2+ v3? Do I have to make sure they have certain sensors, etc.? Thanks, Steve

Now I can only offer my personal experience on this, but my Samsung Galaxy S3 Smartphone works perfectly.

My HTC one M8 is rock solid... In airplane mode with wifi on only.  Otherwise it wants to drop the phantom connection.  Would love to resolve this.  

Am using a Samsung galaxy s5 with no problems and used in airplane mode like mentioned.

Anyone but I'd suggest staying away from Lollipop until they fix the issues with WIFI; it seems that Lollipop has a number of issues holding WIFI connection that is causing the Phantom connections to drop out or app to crash.  Other than that, I haven't hear of any Android device that doesn't work.

I use a  Motorola Droid Maxx with Android Version 4.4.4.   It works flawlessly with the maximum preview resolution of 640 X 480.  No issues so far with leaving network settings in default mode.

Keep the WiFi extender pointed in the direction of the bird.  Hint... wear a dark colored shirt to minimize your reflection on the screen, and set the screen to maximum brightness.

Well its pretty much all that's required.....{:3_53:}, I didn't feel the need to go into MY personal choice of device and the benefits as they all perform the same really.... using the Android app.
I doubt the op is gonna run out and buy a galaxy s3 to compare....

Do you know if the problem has been fixed in Android 6.0 Marshmallow ?
