Hi mate,

I got my P3 pro last week  with firmware 1.3.20 and I updated directly to 1.5.3 without any issue following the instructions. Before you do it, read carefully the pros and cons of the recent update which can be found in various threads and decide according your needs. Once you update to the latest version, you can go back only to the prior 1.4 version.

Thanks for the quick reply.   I take it you upgraded yours via micro USB too right?  And not through the DJI Go App?

I am a bit confused with the instructions from the DJI download page.  Are we supposed to update teh Firmware via the DJI GO app?  If that is the case, how do we do that?  Connect a cable from the Mobile Device to the DJI Phantom Gimbal?

Hi all,

I need a help, my drone starts to drive me crazy. I had thecamera problem (no signal status) on my P3P since I upgrade the FW using 3X_FW_V01.04.0010 on mynew battery couple weeks ago. The upgrade was failed. I tried every possible wayto re try the upgrade (format the micro sd card on the go app, down grade to earlierversion) but doesn’t works. I heard that many people experience the sameproblem. So I wait until DJI release the new FW.

Unfortunately, when the new FW released, it still doesn’t fixthe problem, I try to upgrading the FW P3X_FW_V01.05.0030, it still doesn’t works.The upgrade was failed, the aircraft led turn red with a long beep sound.

The drone was alright, I can turn it on and fly it, but thecamera just doesn’t works. Blank with no signal status.

Does anyone experience the same problem and could finallysolve it?

I live in Indonesia and there is no authorized DJI storehere, so it will be difficult for me to send my drone to DJI nearest DJIauthorized office (Australia/Japan) for checking the problem.

So, any help or advice will greatly appreciated.

So far so good.  My update seems to have gone smoothly.

Today i receive my P3A from Germany RMA.....

Turn it ON than RC on......

My surprise no Signal and RC shows a Red light.

Update RC to 1.5. Suceess. Reboot and still no conection between RC and P3A.

Sorry, i will be offensive, but this is the 2 time i send the P3 to Germany, and i receive it even WORSE than first time.

Thank you DJI for make my life miserabley and a NON- Professional work.

Now, i have something dead here at my home.

The DJI Go app upgrades the rest parts too. The aircraft, the RC, the batteries and the app have different versions and all need to be updated in a certain order as per instructions. I simply followed the tutorial and everything ended smoothly. You have to apply the instructions without any impovisations

Is there anyone that could shed some light on this, as DJI support just said to send it to them for them to inpsect, I have just bought it and it has firmware 1.5 DJI pro 3 but I get no video feed, it records fine to the SD and I can watch the videos and check the pictures on the computer.

I just got my Phantom 3 Pro. I haven't checked the current firmware on it yet (just charged the batteries and controller last night, so they are ready), but I guess it's an older one.

Since the latest released firmware does not include battery firmware upgrades, do I need to install an older firmware first, before upgrading to the latest 1.5.0030? If so, which firmware contains the latest battery firmware?

From what I understand, although you cannot downgrade from say 1.5 to 1.3, 1.3 on an SD card will still "update" a battery if its not current.. This is my understanding but I cannot test it as all my batteries are updated. So even if the aircraft is on 1.5 and you had batteries with an older firmware you could just pop an older firmware 1.3 on the SD and have it update the battery only.

I would love to test this or if DJI could confirm if its the case.

Thank's Sploodge. When I get back home from work I will start the Phantom up for the first time, and check the current firmware. I'll guess it would be safe to upgrade one revision at a time if the current firmware is really old, that way I should get a battery update sooner or later

If its on 1.3 then download that firmware and do any other batteries that you might have the I suggest going to 1.4 then 1.5, it seems to be the most successful route

i have a brand new p3 i believe it came with 1.3 and i upgraded to 1.5.  while in 1.3, my raw images were fine.  now, in 1.5 they have blue/magenta/etc pixelation in the dark areas.  im going to downgrade to 1.4 and back up to 1.5 to hopefully remedy this issue.

Hi,

I updated to 1.3, 1.4 and lastly to 1.5. At the 1.3 the firmware upgrade "stuck" with the Phantom sending out a constant noise (not the 4 beeps indicating a running upgrade, and not the "Brrrrrrrr, beep, beep" indicating a successful upgrade, but a constant noise(!)). I waited a long time then turned the Phantom off and on again. It continued updating a short time (4 beeps), then came the successful beeps. After that the 1.4 and 1.5 upgrades went well!

Hope the weather will be nice this weekend so I can test fly the Phantom, and also calibrate the X5 on the Inspire.

took your advice and tried the "reinstall" technique you came up with. Worked like a charm. 1.5 installed with no problems whatsoever. Re-started the quad after update, and it linked with the R/C and GO app. All updates show as current, and the camera update reminder has gone. All calibrations went smoothly, and now I just have to wait for some decent weather to test it.
I don't know how this works, but it did work for me. Huge thanks to you for coming up with this alternative to beating my head against a wall, which didn't seem to be working out too well. I owe you a can of maple syrup.

I reformatted the sd card and installed the v1.05.0030 bin on it. I put the sd card in the aircraft ,turn it on and then the gimbal moved then got beeping. Then really quick I got the D DD and green light, but didn't get a txt sheet saying successful. At first something updated but the app says aircraft and camera still need updating. What can be done?

I would add to check your DJI App version to assure the app is at the latest version as well.  I use my Android tablet with my Phantom, but I use my tablet for all kinds of uses, not only for flying.  Because I travel a lot and am on airplanes with their high-latency Wi-Fi, I have disabled automatic updating of applications (it sucks when trying to get through some emails, and your tablet spends half the flight trying to do useless updates).

I updated my Phantom 3 Pro, and updated my controller, but things weren't working correctly. My battery status showed at 0%, IMU Calibration worked - but never showed progress, just a bunch of weird stuff.  I went into the Play Store, and found there was an update for the DJI app.  Once I did that update, all problems were solved.

I suspect most will never experience this problem as most people have auto-updates enabled on their Android tablets, but wanted to bring this point up in the event anyone else experienced similar problems.

Tried to format and use other SD card - didnt help
Jerry also suggested to start firmware update with pressing Link buttojn - didn't help
Trtied to downgrade to 1.4 and 1.3 - same result, shorts beeps as ussual firmware update starts and the solid D and Red light on the camera.

Does somebody know how to make factory reset? or some other radical option. For example - put it into the fireplace, wait a bit, go to sleep.

As I comprehended it, you update everything through the DJI Go app and the micro USB, I didn't see any reference to mobile device connected to gimbal. The instructions are pretty clear to me and every step is described separately. Did you upate your P3 sucessfully or you decided to remain to the older version?

Another case off device 15 and 08 - device not detected - failed update...

Tried reinstalling about 10 times, with different cards, reformatting card in Dji App.  Leaving it on for 30 minutes+
Tried downgrading to 1.4 won't install...tried with RC on first (suggested on another forum) - no luck with that.

Any other suggestions would be appreciated, my Phantom is about a month old and has less than 5 hours off flight time on it...

Hey folks,

I changed my main board this weekend due to an ESC error and in trying to re-start my drone I went through the firmware update process.  Now I can't get the initial B - B - B to stop but the firmware upgrade seems to have been successful.  I've even tried downgrading to 1.4.1 (which seemed to have worked) and then re-upgrading.  My iPhone says everything is updated and normal, the light on the gimbal took less than 5 minutes to turn green, the GPS locks on, the camera works, the LEDs give the right indications ... everything indicates all is well - but I can't get it to stop the B - B - B.  I've included a 10s video of what it does ... by the HOUR ... without ever changing.  If I try to start the motors with the beeping going, I get the dreaded ESC error I got before.  Can anybody offer any advice?  I just want to make sure it's not a firmware issue before doing anything else.  I've looked at the hidden log file and it seems to be good, can somebody confirm?  I've included part of it as well.   HELP!!!!

Please contact your dealer or repair center about that . I'm afraid you'll have to send it back for a repair .

I got the vibration as well.
Downgraded and upgraded IMU cal.
Did not help :-(
