Does anyone have any advice on how to solve the power drop problem? On my last outing with the Inspire (Sunday 22 Nov), I had four batteries dropping from 50% power to 7% instantly. Luckily I was low enough and in a safe area so the aircraft landed itself with no damage. I’ve had the aircraft for 8 months with no previous problems and I follow the discharge/storage/recharge advice on the DJI site. Is there any link to the latest firmware for the intelligent battery? Has anyone reinstalled the previous firmware and solved the problem? Thanks for your advice in advance. Geraint.

Happened to me a couple of times with a given battery. Had to charge the battery for 4 hours (even if the green lights on it switched off after 1 hour) and it then went better.

Never fly without fully charging your batteries.  I charge them the night before, then top them off the day of flying.  The day of flight, I turn the battery on and plug the charger in, wait for the lights to go out.  Never had a problem......

I don't think they should call these smart batteries anymore.

I have six batteries for about 7 months now and I experienced the abrupt voltage drop on all six of them this month.  I discharged them completely and fully charged them a couple of times and I haven't seen this abrupt voltage drop since.  I guess it is really important to do a full discharge/charge every 10 charges or so, but I would advise you to do a full discharge/charge not only every ten charges BUT ALSO IF YOU HAVEN'T USED THE BATTERIES FOR A FEW WEEKS TIME.

Today I had a drop from 20% ---> 6% with a TB47 I fully charged just before flying. However this battery did this the 3rd time already and also shows voltage fluctuations.

Flying with not fully charged battery, especially on inspire, especially in the cold weather can cause the voltage drop. Always start your flight fully charged!

Oh, wow... That's a new one...

Has that battery entered self-discharge since the last time it was ...

No all my batteries did never self-discharge. This battery is a warranty case anyway it always gets major deviations under full throttle and early voltage warnings I cannot use it anymore for any more far away mission I just save logs everytime this happens because I want to exchange it at the dealer under EU warranty legislation and not send it anywhere and wait wait wait

Laurent, your experience would indicate that there may be an issue with the status indicators. Have you tried checking the cell status when the indicators showed a full charge?

Ah, thanks Macho. I'll disregard your experiences for the purposes of my experimental data, then.
...

Thanks but there are only trains on the mountains I will not be able to come down with the Inspire powered up and it would take over 30min also.

Darn!

However, you might be pleased to know that a TB48 will power an Inspire for around 4 hours  ...

Now that's one experiment I don't think I would have though to try.  Paul, you really have captured the specs for nearly every aspect of the Inspire 1.  DJI should hire you...

Might be a defective battery, I land my inspire as soon as it hits 30 percent.

Well I would like to use the flight time advertised as it doesnt say 18 minutes (in fact its 15 anyway) but you have to land after 12 not to damage the battery.
