I have heard some different answers on this and just wondering if a tablet has wifi and google maps then it will work?

Yes it will work.

I use it with my iPad Mini wifi only (no cell connection). Works fine, although I have to download the maps while it's still on my home wifi, before I switch it over the Phantom wifi.

Have used my Samsung galaxy note 10.1 a couple of times without any problems, just download the vision app direct from the dji website as not available through the play store.

I"m an idiot when it comes to a tablet, never used on but need the larger screen. Do you have to download G maps just once or everytime you fly?

Once you download the google maps, they stay in cache on your tablet.  I have the Apple iPad 2 32GB, Wi-Fi + 3G (AT&T), 9.7in - Black (MC774LL/A).

The 9.7 inch I think is the largest tablet you can get.  I need it for these tired old eyes.

If I'm using my iPad Mini without cell connection, I load google maps beforehand while I have a wifi connection and do that every time I fly. If I'm using my cell phone or my iPad Air with cell phone then I don't have to. I do have to remember to enable the cell connection on the Air at some point before I take off.

Relative to size, bigger is better. I have a bracket for my iPad Air as well as the Mini.

Gerry, just FYI, I've got the Tab 4, which is a 10.1 inch. It's great, BTW.

Corner to corner?  That's good to know.  I've only familiar with the tab 2.

Don't know how they measure it, but it says "10.1" everywhere

I did some research on others and they were 10.1 inch viewing area.  My apple is 9.7 inch viewing area, not to much difference in viewing area.  I just never saw others when I bought the 2 apple tablets.

How's the 10.1 when outside .Do you have much dramas with screen glare or do you have a cover over it .Looking at getting one but wasn't sure if it would be worth while changing up from a 7" tablet if I still had trouble seeing the screen properly .
