Phantom and Inspire Pro get updates - What about the Inspire?

Plenty of fixes we are all here and waiting for DJI!
When do we see some action on the faults that have been outstanding for months now?


EDIT - Turns out it's today - Check it out folks!

Supposedly a fix for batteries included in this one (they said that last time so make sure that you do your own testing!)
No word on altitude hold issues, nor slave video feed lag/breakup.

All-in-One Firmware version updated to v1.5.0.30.2.
DJI GO app iOS version updated to v2.4.2.3.
DJI GO app Android version updated to v2.4.2.

What’s New:
1. Fixed battery level fluctuation issue.
2. The X3 gimbal on the Inspire 1 is now compatible with the Osmo.
3. Follow Me feature now supported in Intelligent Flight Mode.
4. Optimized HDR performance.
5. Adjusted video storage rate to 60 Mbps at 1080p60, and 40 Mbps at 1080p30.
6. Added a feature to smooth the pitch, roll and yaw movement of the X3 gimbal from the DJI GO app.
7. Enforced read-only access for the data in the flight recorder.
8. Optimized sampling methods for the Vision Position System to improve its stability.

Notes:
1. Hibernation and gimbal protection is not supported on the Inspire 1 X3 gimbal.
2. Battery firmware is included in this All-in-One firmware update.
Update all Intelligent Flight Batteriesby using this firmware.
3. The firmware can only be downgraded to v1.4.10 or later.
4. Calibrate the Inspire 1 X3 gimbal when using it on the Osmo for the first time.

the firmware for x3 supports x3 only. the fimrware for x5 supports x3 as well . i wonder if dji expects / wants us to upgrade straight to the firmware for the x5. even if we dont have that cam yet because having two different firmwares for the same inspire1 aircraft & batteries just doesnt make sense. basically inspire 1 with x3 cam = inspire 1. inspire 1 with x5 cam is inspire 1 pro. but yes you are right. it's been like forever since we've been waiting for an upgrade.

I belive it will be soon.

Yes, we will not leave inspire just like this, it needs new firmware and we will give him one

here's an apparently silly question : can't we just simply install the firmware of x5 on the x3 even if we havent bought the x5 yet (because it's compatible with both) and i do intend to buy it very soon anyway.

You may need the X5 mounting plate for you to use the X5 fw update even though you would be using the X3 camera. Just a guess. And you may not be able to install the X5 firmware without the X5 camera.

If you were to try it, maybe the worst it would tell you is that you can't do it. But I wouldn't try it.

I already have the X5 mounting plate but I don't think it'd be necessary, it's just a connector that goes between the cables in the Inspire to the camera, it doesn't seem to have any circuitry or anything else inside but I could be wrong...

really really really getting old waiting for this new firmware

Hopefully they have some fixes coming through - My Inspire is nowhere near what it was just a few months ago.
V1.3 caused major issues.

I agree with your post.  It seems a while since the last update for the Inspire 1 aircraft.

call me seriously stupid but i really wonder why is there no 'reset to factory settings' option with drones ? my bird flew just fine with the most basic firmware that it came with untill i decided (idiotically) to act otherwise (and upgraded the darn firmwares) and hence began the story of  neverending problems
