Maby a good idea if someone hasn't beat me to it. I just got some quick release prop guard for my p3a. I put them on and now I either have to cut up my brand new Nanuk 950 case some the phantom will fit or smash it when I shut the lid or take them back off. Why don't someone 3D print some prop guards that just snaps on to the arms of the phantom? Maby they are out there and I just haven't came across them yet. Like normal when I think of something really cool and useful it's already available if anyone know where a people can get some please let me know. Or if you got a 3D printer and start makin money off my idea please remember me. Thanks guys in advanced

I have a 3D printer. If someone comes with a design, I'll print and test the guards.

Cheers

I'm not talking about the quick release prop guard that you have to mount one end on the phantom with the longer motor mount screws. I'm talking about prop guards that would simply snap on to the frame

Every type I have seen on Amazon and eBay you have to screw on either the whole guard or the quick release part that the guard clips into.  Am I not explaining my self or am I blind?

Anyone use these yet?  I like these better than the ones that screw on since those can damage motors apparently in a crash, or if you torque them down to tight.

NP. Those and these are the only ones I would consider. AerialFreaks are molded plastic and fit very snug....Afterdark are 3d printed, they fit pretty good as well but are a bit pricey. You could always purchase both and send back the ones you don't like.
afterdarkled.com makes these                      http://www.atlantahobby.com/Store/pc/viewPrd.asp?idproduct=18549
but they are distributed by                                http://www.atlantahobby.com/Store/pc/viewPrd.asp?idproduct=18549

One thing I would like to mention, with both the Aerialfreaks and Afterdark, they both have those little nubs that rest in the body screw holes. Because the Aerialfreaks are snug and fit so well I shaved off those nubs after reading about the stress cracks that occur in those holes and I did not want to add to it and have found they function as needed without the nubs.

Read my above replies.
I bought and tried both...I kept aerial freaks.
Only use when shooting in tight wooded or ledge areas and I don't fly indoors so I rarely use them because nothing is gonna save it in an altitude crash.
