Is image size 16:9 limited to 1600x900px?

I can't see resolution options in camera settings menu. It has only two options 4:3 and 16:9, wich means aspect ratio. Using 4:3, image size is 4000x300px, but switching to 16:9 is 1600x900px, wich is a very low quality. Mobile device: LG G2 mini, Android 4.4.2.

Phantom 3 advanced, firmware udated, aircraft and rc (15/12/01).

Thank you!

RE: Image size 16:9 limited to 1600x900px?

I would choose 4:3 for all of your photos. You can always crop these images to 16:9 and then your image width will be 4000px.

Using 4:3 lets you get the entire image that the lens is receiving into your files.

Your arithmetic is wrong.
In 16:9 the P3's resolution is 4000 x 2250

But for most photographers there's little point shooting 16:9 because it's just 4:3 with a bit cut off the top and bottom.
It's better to get a larger image and you can crop if required rather than be limited when shooting.

I agree. But if you want to fit images in your screen, and you don't want to resize thousands of images one by one, it's a good idea to use 16:9. Don't you agree whit it?

Hi ,
If you are taking the picture with an image size of 4:3 , you'll get a 4000×3000 picture . If you are take a 16:9 image , you'll get a 4000×2250 picture .

4:3 and 16:9 are just aspect ratios. Think TVs. Your old CRT TV is 4:3 ratio. Your new widescreen LCD TV is 16:9 ratio.
The P3 has 4000 wide X 3000 height = 12 000 pixels (this is the full 12mpx sensor being used).
When you nominate 16:9, it will use 4000 wide X 2250 high pixels and discards the 750 pixels by cropping.

Have you looked at any of the photos? If you are looking at images on your smart device then I'd suggest you try removing the SD on the phantom and plugging it into the PC. The cached images on the GO app are only for reference and should not be used.
