Hi all. I received a Phantom 2 Vision+ for Christmas and had a great first flight yesterday.

At the end of the flight, I was landing and got to about 1ft off of the ground when the aircraft went into Go Home mode and ascended full speed into the trees above. I had no control of the craft at that point. It hit, broke some blades and bent one of the landing gear.

Everything else looks good visually. Now I'm having issues with the camera. When I power on the craft I hear a clicking noise coming from the gimbal. The camera does not respond well to the remote control.

In the video I am smoothly moving the X1 dial up and down.

Version 3, the shielded compass shows in the video.

Do an IMU calibration then another calibration with the (command stick calibration) including the wheel calibration for your camera.  You do not need to calibrate with the (sticks monitor)  Let us know how it turns out.

Gary - Thanks for the reply. I just tried that, restarted the aircraft with no change and then tried it again. Still nothing. Anything else I can try?

You might have put the pin inside out of alignment.

Per the video I took the cover apart and verified that the pin is aligned and level.

Hey all - I just got a quote from STC Electronics in NYC to replace the camera for $679.

• Does that price seem fair/reasonable?
• For those who are familiar, would a new camera resolve any issues I'm having connecting with my iPhone?
  

Thanks in advance. I'm frustrated that the Go Home feature cost me $679 when I was landing but I'm going to bite the bullet if it's a fair price and will get me up and running.

Ok, final check in on this. I ended up going to STC Electronics in NYC and had the camera replaced. Everything is back in working order. The crew at STC was great to work with.
