Good day Guys 'n Girls...

I need to integrate a "non standard" camera on an aircraft like a S900 for instance.


I have a choice of cameras (depending on what I want done and what my budget will allow...
On the short list is the Optris range of equipment.
Start / Stop camera commands appears to resemble that of a Go-Pro.


The choice of aircraft and RC will be dictated by the equipment I need to get up in the air so I have no fixed ideas on my final aircraft configuration either.


Any suggestions on the "how to", are most welcome...

zen muse gimbals are very lens/camera specific, so you'd need to look elsewhere for a gimbal, as to whether an S900 could carry the camera you mentioned, once you find a gimbal that it can be mounted on and work out it's power requirements  and video link, work out how much that will weigh and check that against the total weight capacity of the S900, here is a link to the manual http://www.dji.com/product/spreading-wings-s900/info#downloads I'm sure if it's within take off weight specs you'll be able to find a way to mount the gimbal.

you might want to ask the people that make that camera what gimbals they would suggest, I see they have pictures on their website of it mounted on a gimbal

unfortunately for current users of S900, S1000 the S WING series is incompatible with the new range of camera gimbles, including the XT, so for the moment it's either the Matrice, or the Inspire series.

It would be REALLY nice of Dji to support their S WING users by making an attachment available to bridge this incompatibility. not that i can afford to invest in that yet anyway.

Noticed the XT and it makes me very exited indeed.
Wrote to DJI, but still waiting on a reply.
Will have to wait until 2016 I see before more info and pricing will be available...

One thing at least... the promise of interchangeable cameras on the Inspire has been addressed.
