I got this from WalMart for $8. It's a cheap solution but it works. It they had a stronger extension with a swivel head and a 1/4 - 20 thread it might be better but I couldn't find one. In the mean time I needed an extension arm for some work. I have to admit, an extension arm, even the DJI one, takes some getting use to. You can only control the camera by your phone app and it's hard to hang on to the extension arm and try moving the camera with the app...but anyways, heres a cheap way to get something now. I want to clarify that the 1/4 - 20 thread stock in the begining doesnt come with the extension...I got it from Home Depot.

Thanks for your sharing, using  the extension rod means that you need to control the gimbal by the APP. The mobile device can be mounted on the device holder beside the handle of extension rod.

Currently, the OSMO can't be controlled by the extension arm, it can be controlled by your APP.

Ok wait...in one hand I have the extension with OSMO attached. In the other hand I have my phone. Where do I get another hand to control the app? Or can you attach the phone holder to the extension?

Yes! You can attach your phone holder on the handle of the extension rod, it's a 1/4 inch rosette like the one on the OSMO handle. But you need to use the extension rod from DJI.

Well Amy, I'd LOVE to use the extension rod from DJI...except DJI isnt shipping them...been waiting since Oct.... :-(
