but i'd like to hear from other people first if their 'no signal' issue got fixed after they upgraded to this latest firmware ??? please please please do share your results.
bro when you attach the x3 cam on the new gimbal, does it auto upgrade from its whatever version you have on it to the 1.1.0.40 latest version for the inspire1pro ? a screenshot of the status would be extremely helpful.
Hi. I a newbie to the inspire having just received inspire pro a few days ago so just spending some time getting used to setting it up dual controllers etc and ensuring all firmware is up to date. There in lies my question? I take it that I only do downloads and updates for the Inspire Pro? E.g. Not those for the inspire ?
Question on FOLLOW ME mode. I have an iPad Air 2 NON cellular. Does Follow Me rely on the location of the tablet or does the Follow me mode use the GPS in the transmitter?

Thanks for your suggestions. I'm still confused as to whether the aircraft is updated to the correct most current level at. 1.2.1.06+. Or should it be at. V1.5.0.30
at 1.2.1.06 . is it flying just fine / problem free ? if yes,,, then what's your prime reason to rush for the latest firmware ? :p just because it's out and available doesnt mean you should upgrade immediately. wait it out bro ... let others upgrade and see if it creates any problem. if your copter is flying just fine right now , go out, learn and practice and have fun ..... and leave the upgrade aside for some time

Thanks dody. I understand your personal update concerns. But that's not my question. What your saying though is my inspire pro should be at V1.5.0.30 ?

Before an official firmware release there is a pretty careful pre-beta and beta testing. When it gets to the general public, it has been tested already by several pilots from all over the world. The DJI beta testing is getting better with every new firmware, and there are a lot of good people, some of them members of this forum, who spent a great amount of time testing very careful and in detail the new firmwares, so you could upgrade safe and easy. Of course, nothing is perfect and for sure everything can be improved, but the general idea is that a public official firmware is pretty safe, at least for the last couple months.
Hope you'll find the courage to update, I had several flights with this firmware and everything went smooth, my bird is quite happy, in one piece

what pisses me of now is that even after several months gone by since this 'no signal' issue lifted its head there has been not even one single genuine effort by dji to resolve this matter, let alone any thread n these forums that would deal specifically & categorically with this matter. what is happening is that people are going with hits and trials and some are getting lucky while others are not. which leaves me with my present opinion. i hope the experts are having great fun but i have been forced to cancel a project for which i waited a whole year and now postponse paid projects untill i miraculously find a solution myself. even this latest firmware does not address the 'no signal' issue, so if someone expects me to try and upgrade and see if i get lucky .... uuuhhh ... i will only when i have no choice left.
Dji please confirm regarding ipro and x5 upgrades on v1 / v2 inspires. The app notified as an all in 1 upgrade and knows it's a ipro but others are saying this is x3 specific. What is the official word?

That's the simple question I would like to know the answer to from dji
I have no problems with trusting dji on new firmware updates but as the owner of a new inspire pro am I using the most uptodate and compatible software? Or do I also need to update to the inspire 1 firmware released to day?
DJI Tim does this release address the issue where android users are experiencing no camera view when DJI go app was updated to 2.4.2 with firmware 1.4.1 and RC 1.4.3. Using the Lightbridge app verified the usb port is connected so that does not appear to be the issue. Fo App 2.4.0 worked perfectly.
I am still grounded with no camera view. When I called support they were having technical difficulties.
Also I have sent an email as requested week and a half ago ...still no reply.
I need help to get back to flying and so far nothing has worked so will this new firmware address this issue?

That is not true...I am grounded because of an update so the beta is the general public seems like to me...I have now learned DO NOT UPGRADE UNLESS TOTALLY REQUIRED...If not you could be sorry.
Anyone having this problem? I have tried upgrading the firmware in our I1 four times today. Every time I get a "corrupted" error message. I've tried two different micro SD cards, formatted in the I1, nothing else on them. I've tried downloading the firmware fresh each time from the DJI website. Nothing works. I'm using an Apple Mac Pro Yosemite OS 10.10.3. Thoughts?
This one is the biggie for me "Adjusted video storage rate to 60Mbps at 1080p60, and 40 Mbps at 1080p30."
That's a 20Mbps increase across the board in 1080 modes. This may well make the 1080 modes the go to modes for the X3 as this should bring about a significant boost in quality. I just wish the weather would get better around here so that I can test it!
In the release notes, what does "Hibernation and gimbal protection ...
I think this only relates to if you intend to use the Inspire X3 on the Osmo handheld. ie If you buy the Osmo with its own X3 camera, it has has a feature where it goes into hibernation etc when not in use.
If you use the Inspire X3 on the Osmo then it will not go into hibernation etc.
Please help, I did the v1.5.0.30 update tonight and for the first time I got a fail indication. I restarted the aircraft and it started normally with no indication of trying to update again. I checked the firmware versions via the app and it showed v1.4.00.10+. I tried to put the 1.5.0.30 on a different SD card and the aircraft still says the it is the latest firmware with v1.4.00.10+. Any ideas?
