Something weird going on here then.  

Pains me to say this, but I am pleased I am not the only one ...

I now have the same issue, solid bbbbbb with tail light blinking yellow.  Can't do anything.  Did a slow format of the SD card, tried 1.4 and 1.5 no difference.
HELP!

Heres my latest update.

Tried numerous time now to update to v1.5
Wiped the card and placed back into camera then switched on Go App.  Reformatted the card from within the camera, downloaded the update v1.5 again placed back into camera switched on.  Starts update again as expected thinking it is going well.  Then  ...... the dreaded continuous beep.  And just to confirm for doubt, the Go App indicates the aircraft version is up to date.

Switched off aircraft, checked text file and failure recorded again.  So for DJI Tech guys here is my text file below.  

Hope this helps with a solution that more than just me now seek

GB44 we need to see the proper log file under the hidden directory to see where it is failing, this doesn't show where its failing.

Can you post the hidden log created on the SD card located under \MISC\LOG\ xxx.txt.

To view this log you will need to enable view hidden files on you computer.

Sorry to hear about your problems ...

I had this problem with previous FW update ... (I have not yet tried to load this FW)
No signal from camera and the process of FW update was crashing.
Ended up sending my gear to Dji service center in Germany to get it sorted.
(They also replaced the camera with a new one.)

About 2 weeks turn arround time (ones my Swedish retailer got it out of Sweden) ...

@GB44 - I'm sending my Inspire in to the authorized dealer in the UAE. Fingers crossed they will be able to do something about it. I'll keep you posted if I get that sorted, and how they did it.

Following up, were you able to get the aircraft to update yet?

I would if I knew how to show hidden files on a Mac, but when you see suggestions on the internet to write commands that end in Kill All,  it makes me worried that it will also Kill my Mac and not being a computer whiz kid don't want to tempt fate.

On a PC you go to folder options and turn off the control that would not let you see hidden files. The folders are ghosted, that means they were hidden but now you can see them.   Pretty easy stuff.... I am not sure on the Mac but should be similar. I am sure that one of the Mac guys here could walk you through the process. You don't need to be a wiz.. easy stuff

Hi,

Open a Terminal window (Applications/Utilities/Terminal). Write the following in the Terminal:
defaults write com.apple.Finder AppleShowAllFiles YES

Press Enter.
Exit Terminal. Restart Finder (easy way is to choose the Apple menu at the top left of the screen and then "Force Quit Finder".

Hope this helps, and that you get help with your Inspire. Seems like a lot of problem with these latest versions for the Inspire/Inspire Pro and also Phantom 3.

Seems that there's very little being said out there about this.  I'm happy to shoot NTSC if it removes those ugly artifacts. Have you done any tests yet?

If you are unable to update to 1.5 successfully, then you can go down to 1.4.
The no video issue is being looked at. You can see from the results below, this has to do with the video transmission.

It errors out trying to down grade.  To Down grade, I put 1.4 on the siim (deleted 1.5) and booted the inspire with the Sim and camera on it.

Update just completed.
I waited a few days and watched with interest to see how people were doing.
My procedure went as expected - no issues to report.

I started with iOS updates to both iPad mini 2's.
Synced flight details through to DJI.
Deleted DJI GO on both iPads.
Restarted Ipads and reloaded DJI GO from the App Store.

Next stage (with the Inspire powered OFF)
Connected the Flight RC to iPad, fired it up and updated the FW via DJI GO.
(This took two attempts to D/Load, but eventually successful)
Connected the slave RC to iPad, fired it up and updated the FW via DJI GO.
This updated the slave RC directly without D/load.

I then re-calibrated both RCs.

Finally - D/loaded the firmware package from DJI Support page, extracted/copied the .BIN file onto a freshly formatted microSD card.
Installed the sdcard into the x3 and powered up the Inspire.
FW update proceeded without issue.

When completed - I powered down, took the sd card and checked / deleted the txt file.
Re-installed it and installed each on my TB48s/TB47s in turn (checking / deleting the txt file each time)

With all the updates done I then re-calibrated the IMU.

The process went smoothly - no issues to report. No chance to flight test just yet as weather is unsuitable (sunny and 40c, now thunderstorms!)

I did note that this update re-wrote the ESC firmware - so would STRONGLY suggest that everyone take the time to perform some test/shakedown flights in a known, open and safe location before you look to operate in unfamiliar surroundings. (take a few charged batteries down to your local sports field and start carefully) The last esc update was contained within V1.3 which very significantly changed the flight characteristics of the inspire and introduced a tendency to lose altitude in FFF and through turns.

On the bench, I see that they have made some changes to the camera controls - looks a bit more logically set out.

Yes, that's correct. Just make sure all file are deleted before you put 1.4 on the SD card.

  Good news, I got my new camera Monday and updated all the new firmware without any problems. After all the ideas from everybody here, the rest was a breeze and my birds flying again.

GB44- I had the same issue and after trying everything else and remembering how hot the camera got with the last update ( 1.5 ), I determined that the camera had to be the issue. after replacing the camera, the firmware took, stopped the beep beep beep, and continued to load. GOOD LUCK and never give up.

The flashing yellow tail means it is not trying to upload firmware, but trying to find the radio signal and can't because it's not or shouldn't be turned on.

Just as an update to my issues.  Apparently the USB reader went bad in the camera causing the firmware to not update.  It was sent in the DJI and repaired.  It seems to have the latest firmware and seems to fly and show video.  I have not messed with updating the firmware again since I got it back and am hesitant to do so.  I will again at a later date, of course.
