I finally locked in a good paying gig with our copter, and now upon updating the firmware i get nothing but this AWFUL loud beep. No lights on teh tail either... Ive tried multiple SD cards, reformats.. and apparently DJI no longer has 24 hour support for the inspire 1.

Looks like the red led on the battery is flashing too.  Did you try another battery?  Also, did you check the text file on the memory card to see the outcome.

This is the last Txt file i have before i formatted the card to try again.

Hi, John! Do you have a log of your firmware update?

John, that beep is a notification that the motors are locked. Please call DJI support and I hope they ask you to reset the output board.

As DJI-Tim asked, please upload the log.

I have the same issue. when I tried to update the 3rd battery everything went haywire. the GO app says there is no firmware on the aircraft or the camera and it makes the god aweful beep beep beep beep beep beep beep beep beep beep

What is your specific challenge ?  Battery , RC , aircraft ?

If you are talking about the "Output board on the RC " There is no re -set for that  ( That I know of ) , I mean you can Re- set the Transmitter but why do you need to do so ?

I have heard of the Output board getting loose and needing to be Plugged back in , but you must be at least brave enough to take the cover off the RC Transmitter and look for the loose board connection , slightly difficult but not Impossible.  There are videos on you tube on how to open case on the RC to change antennas .

I am having the exact same problem after the firmware update.  DJI told me to downgrade to the previous firmware and that did not help at all

I get the following messages on the DJI Go App

Main Controller Connection to Center Board Failed.

Gimbal cannot receive Main Controller Data.

Check the 8-pin plug that connects the damping place and the aircraft .  Ensure that none of the pins are loose.   In the problem persists, contact DJI Support.

The Main controller is on the aircraft,
Did you try to calibrate the IMU and the  Camera ?  I would do this first .

You do know how to Calibrate the IMU and Gimbal correct ?  Be sure to start with the IMU on a level SOLID Indoor Table.  When it is updating , stay out of the room , the floor vibrations can throw it off.  Takes about 5- 7 min tops then do the camera Gimbal calibration.

@michaelpowel please enable view hidden files on your computer.  Insert your SD card into the computer.  Show us the txt file contained in the MISC/Log folder.  That will let us know what happened to cause your update to fail.  Let us know.

Same thing happened to me this morning .. thanks go Donny I just did full format on my CD card and then put it in the bird and let it beep for 20 minutes then the sound of the peeping changed .. and then .. yes beeping stopped and 1.91 was installed ..then did IMU and gimbal calibration and just to make sure did it on 9 batteries all success. -- I note that I now have a strange hideen file named "sound something" that I have never seen before . I just left it on the card as it would not clean .. thanks again to Ed and Donnie this morning
