When will SDK be released for the X 5 / Inspire pro . All these updates mean nothing to a lot of us who cannot use third party applications.

DJI: Since I already did the update for the battery that was applied on the x3 update, after I run the pro / x5 the first time, I should not need to do each battery after correct? or should I still do the batteries with the x5 update as well?

Yes, please use the Inspire Pro page to update to 1.2.0.50 (they revised it last night, although same firmware#)

The battery update is on both the Inspire1 update and the Inspire Pto update, so if you haven't updated all your batteries you can update them on either update.
If you haven't updated the Pro firmware yet, just make sure to upate from the Inspire1 Pro page and not the X5 camera page.

Can you try to reformat the SD card and download the revised firmware again. http://www.dji.com/product/inspire-1-pro-and-raw/info#downloads
Make sure not to use the X5 camera page update.
When you do that, what happens when you power up the Inspire with the new .BIN file. What are the lights on the gimbal showing? And you have the R/C powered off correct?

I have reformatted the SD I also tried another formatted SD.
Not using the X5 page. Using the Inspire 1 Pro downloads
The inspire pro powers up as normal and the gimbal light remains solid green. The flight status light blinks yellow rapidly as it should when no RC is connected.
RC is powered off when attempting to update.

Not sure why this is happening.  Last night the firmware updated successfully in the .txt file but I was getting the same Aircraft update message as most folks. I then rolled back to the previous 1.1.0.40 firmware and that was also successful. However this morning with the new updated 1.2.0.50 the camera doesnt seem to recognize that firmware is on the SD to update.

Ok, so it's basically doing the exact same thing as if there was no .BIN fine on the SD card.
Can you upload the log and we can figure out why it's not taking the update?

Awesome, glad you're up and running now.

Do not upgrade to the latest firmware for the X5, stay with v1.0.0.30. There is still major problems with the new firmware.

Here are a few clips. All shot at iso 400 1/60. I'd tell you the WB but its messed and means nothing...

Download the clips and see for yourself...

https://www.dropbox.com/s/nh1qhdicca...20V50.zip?dl=1

Problem 1 (MAJOR): Custom white balance slider doesn't work properly. Above 7000 is doesn't change. When I set it to 2000 it is DEFINITELY not 2000, the image is crazy warm still. As you decrease WB from 5600 towards 2000 the image gets more red instead of more blue. Place a white card under incandescent lighting and it impossible to make the card white. Oddly enough Auto White Balance works.

Problem 2: I was so excited about the bumped bitrate at 2.7k and 1080p... Just kidding, they messed it up and the footage is blurry, especially the 1080p60. Also the angle of view significantly changes between 30 and 60p...makes so much sense

Problem 3: Bad flickering still exist above 800 iso

Problem Infinity: These were the three problem I found in the first 5min. Already downgraded before I waste more time finding more.

If you are using an iPad for the DJI GO application, the iPad will keep the app suspended in the background even as you use other software on the device or browse the web.  It has been my experience that the DJI GO app will not show all current status information correctly unless you double click the iPad home button, swipe the app off the screen to shut it down, and then restart it.  In every case I have seen incorrect status after following update procedures, the app reported the correct information after the restart.  Perhaps this is obvious to some of you.  If you are using an iPad and sure you have followed update procedures and are not seeing the DJI GO status you expect, try this procedure.

Mike

Since the the .50 FW the videos are very unsharp? I recalibrated it. Set the profile from 0 to -2 and +2. It's wierd, because -2 is a little sharper then 0. But in any case, not usable!
Can I go back to the .30 version? The .40 was not usable too.

When does an update comes that fixes all the problems so we can use the product what we paid for?

Everything else is really fine. But the video quality is actually just a mess.

Please keep up the work for an good update before christmas.
If I / we can help in any way, just say how.

We all want the same

Thank you and best wishes from switzerland

Dom

Hi DJI,

Please, can you comment on the problems with the latest firmwares for the Inspire (camera quality) and the Phantom (vibrations etc.)? Are new firmwares under testing that fixes these problems, or? So far no comment from DJI on all these issues. Both my Inspire 1 X5 and my brand new Phantom 3 Pro (which I haven't even flown once with), are grounded. Speak to us, DJI!

The X5 they are working on.
The P3 vibrations a few people got them to go away by downgrading to 1.4 then upgrading and doing that a bunch of times. Also calibrating the IME, compass, and gimbal several times. And lowered the gains.
I know it sounds like a lot but it's something to try until it's resolved. Or you can return for repair under warranty.

but hey wait ..... hasn't the revised 1.2.0.50 aka 1.2.1.0 aka revised x5 firmware already addressed the issues ? for example battery voltage levels fluctuation ?

so what problems are 'they' working on now ?  hhhmmmm ....

I hope they are working on the image flickering and bad image quality with the X5 (as seen in some threads here). Also they forgot(?) to put in the improved bitrate for PAL modes.

yes the inspire1classic fw 1.5 AND inpire1pro fw 1.2.0.50 have both addressed that issue.

edit: i am still dealing with the 'upgrade required' bug at 1.2.0.50 ... and i have 5 batteries. what's more is that after upgrading to 1.2.0.50 on say battery#1 and replace it with battery #2 ... it doesnt do anything. doesn't upgrade it at all. i had to downgrade to 1.1.0.40 on each battery and then upgrade back to 1.2.0.50, otherwise it just won't automcatically upgrade (with the firmware still in the micro sd card in the x5 cam)

well .... 3 batteries done, 2 more to go. let's see how things unroll although i am hating this extremely frustrating procedure.

there's another strange thing happening .... if i replace a battery within 15-30 seconds (the one that says upgrade required in the status).... with the battery that i just upgraded to 1.2.0.50 that showed stopped showing 'update required' .... well it too starts showing upgrade required. awesome

i wonder how long it takes for the circuitry inside the batteries and the aircraft to completely shut down .... because if i take longer than 30 seconds that same battery magically stops showing upgrade required. and leaves me happy but very confused.

yes yes i did the same too ... from inspire1classic fw 1.5 to inspire1pro fw 1.2.0.50 ... on battery #1 .... it upgraded like a charm .... but then when i tried updating other batteries ..... but merely replacing them and having the sd card still inside the slot ... nope, nothing. that is why i had to go thru what i've mentioned in my above comments.
