Is there a way to use the trigger functions from the app for when I'm using the stick?

Yes, click the little picture of the X3camera/gimbal in the app and the options will appear..

Hi, you can tap that gimbal icon at the right side of the screen and there is an arrow icon, tap it will make the gimbal turn to the center like double trigger.
