Hi all,

I updated to FW 1.5 the other week and havent had any problems before the update.
Now everytime i turn on my Phan3 pro it tries to align the gimble for a very long time stops on an angle.

Ithen need to send it around 4-8 calibration tests for it to come back to normal.
I also occasionally get the error gimble overload on the screen but goes away once the camera calibrates itself.
I have tried the IMU and gimble, have not done a compass calibration again yet.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

I have included a video so you can see what its doing. dont mind the sound no idea what noise that is
At around 1min 45 you can see the calibration interupt whatever the drone is doing and complete the calibration

Try rolling back FW to the previous .Then carry out new FW update using a fully formated sd card.That would be my first action.Other recommendations will follow from forum members

From the time you updated the firmware the other week and now, has it does it every time since the update or only started now? And the first time you powered up the other week after updating did it do this?

Yep just tried that last night with no success.
I think this one needs to go to Dji.

I noticed after powering up the camera not straight I didn't think much of it and did some flights when I got back my videos where not straight so I came back home to inspect and noticed it freezes up during the first initialization process.
but comes good when you send it a calibration request.

So the camera goes straight again after you do a gimbal calibration and it's fine through the whole flight. Then when you power up again for another flight it's tilted and you have to calibrate and it's fine again?

I made 3 or 4 short flights (a few minutes) after the firmware update but did not notice anyhing abnormal.

The roll arm had fallen out of alignment realigned and all is perfect now.

That's great, what exactly did you do to realign it.\?

Dear All,

I have gimbal overload problem as well. Our drone gimbal changed 3-4 months ago. The equipment has brand new and working gimbal. After a normal flight, I took off again but faced with overload problem and camera stuck. Tried to auto calibrate  but didn't work. Finally I sent to technical service, service got me back as they need to change the whole gimbal and not under guarantee.  How come a brand new gimbal is not repairing with guarantee? DJI service replied that its not because we use Pix4D application. Yes we use because we are doing 3D modeling and  Photogrammetric Map. I couldn't understand this limitation about software? All technical setups are made by using DJI 4go. Pix4D is not allowed to break any rule of DJI 4 GO.  We are using Pix4D software for a long time and just we have this error and DJI is leaving responsibility to another party! It is un understandable that DJI is pushing their own failure to another party. Do you guys have any suggestion about this issue?
