CinemaDNG files recorded with the Zenmuse X5R can be transcoded to Apple ProRes with Cinelight.

Here are Cinelight’s transcoding features:

1.      Transcode straight from the device. There’s no need to export it to a hard disk or format the footage

2.      Supports all the profiles of ProRes including the highest compression ratio of 422 Proxy and lowest compression ratio of 4444QX

3.      4444QX is not only a lossless format, but it also includes high dynamic range and is well suited to post production.

Where are you seeing it on pre-order? Its not on DJI's site. We all know DJI will take money before they are ready to ship it. Not trying to be  D$%&, just saying.

Yea, of course...but on the other hand, it's like Kickstarter! You fund the project!

Eh... DJI is an established company. They should not need us to "Kickstart" products that are still in production. I understand pre-orders, but there is no official release date yet. Here we are, end of the year, and still no word on the X5r. but we get teased with transcoding software. It can end up another 2 months, or more. Who knows! Im sure once they announce the release date, they will OVER sell out, but still take everyone's money. So then they you have angry customers waiting for months. For example, the Osmo accessories. I had my accessories for my Osmo on order mid october. Last week I e-mailed DJI sales and asked to remove the stuff that was keeping it from shipping, I would would get it from some other place or just later in general. Next thing you know my order had a tracking #. There are still people that ordered before me and still do not have what they ordered.
I know the demand is high for the products they create.. but things can be done better im sure. for one, dont allow pre-orders to exceed past what can be fulfilled at launch.
I Hope this does not seem like a rant... I just dont think we should need to kickstart a company like DJI.

Yea, I'm sure there is, too!

If you've got the ideas, I'm sure they'd hire you.

They seem like they're trying pretty damn hard to get their stuff together.
