Stock inspire 1,  2.4 ghz single wire in the left antenna sending to the aircrafts m/c  and a dual wire 2.4 ghz and 5.8 ghz for the right antenna which one wire is receiving the lightbridge 2.4 video signal and the other side of the antenna is the 5.8ghz which communicates to the second controller if in use.... dbs mods, has an inspire antenna mod tutorial which explains it all in their YouTube vid worth having a look. I'm not recommending this be done but gives you a look at how the stock antenna are arranged. See for yourself..

When I did this mod, I took left side antenna with 5.8GHz wire still connected to the antenna and left it inside of the controller, so the 5.8GHz is still working and fully functional.
Thanks for the input, good observation.

Usually your slave controller are next to you or with in few feet and so you don't need to have large external antenna to communicate between remotes that are few feet a part.

The benefit pilots were looking for by doing this mod was for a cleaner unbroken video link rather than greater fpv distance, flying long distance  you'll loose the video feed long before you'll lose the rc to aircraft mc control side.
For me the stock set up works just fine.

But why would you want to fly 2miles away and at 30,000 feet.  That is crazy.  This is commercial airspace territory and an accident waiting to happen.

Why not stick to reasonable Visual Line of Sight and under 120m/ 400 feet.  More than enough for anyone wishing to fly a UAV as a hobby or even commercially.
