Is there any difference in the data that is contained in the .dat Flight Log retrieved from the internal SD card and the .txt Flight Log retrieved from the ipad connected to the RC if there is no loss of signal to the RC during the flight?  I would assume that the .dat Flight Log would contain additional data if there is a loss of signal to the RC.

I believe the data is the aircraft may be more then is transmitted to the app. A single 5 minute flight can be several Gigabytes of DAT data so I would think the aircraft hold more. I'll find out for sure tomorrow and post.

It's amazing how much data is stored, basically like an airplane black box. If you crash into a side of a building, the data will tell everything on how it happened and what all the sensor readings were, even the speed it hit and how many G's the impact was.
