I have the Phantom 2 with the H3-3D Gimbal and the ribbon cable broke, so I replaced it today. Now, the gimbal is no longer working if the cable is plugged in to the camera.

If I don't put the camera into the gimbal at all, it moves around like it normally does when no camera is attached.

If I put in the camera but dont attach the ribbon cable to it, then it operates fine for a while, but then the back mounting plate gets real hot and it eventually becomes unresponsive.

If I attach the ribbon cable to the camera then the gimbal doesn't do anything at all, except gets hot.

I tried the gimbal reset with the scissors on the two connections, but I only get a red light - no amber light.

Anyone familiar with this problem and have a solution?

Never mind - I installed the cable backwards! Should have realized it when I plugged it into the camera and the cable didn't lay flat. All is good now.
