I love it, although i felt like an idiot because i just realized after my third flight that i had missed the foam insert on the back of the gimbal... I was getting some shakiness.

I did my first flight within the 5 mile PGV zone today, and needless to say the operators were a bit behind on the regulations. I am hopefully going to get a meeting with the airport operator soon, and discuss a couple of things, ( I have a open 333 exemption request in right now, and to fly in the 5 mile radius of the airport commercially not only requires a 333 excemption and a COA from the FAA, but the airport has to endorse you. So i am trying to get the ground work in for that relationship.

I think i was the first person to ever call the airport to put up a NOTAM for a UAS flight.

I have been doing my afternoon flying at the park on Firetower since it lies just outside the five mile pgv zone so no reporting is necessary for recreational flights.

We should do a meet up and get some footage.

I'm Charlotte. It's hard to fly around here but I'm lucky my wife has a horse in SC at a barn where there's a lot of open space and free of no fly zones. Any cool areas where I can go fly around here? I don't mind driving.

I live in Charlotte but we are about 20mins from Indian Land, SC which is where my wife boards her horse.

Do you know of any nice places, parks, areas around NC or SC where we are allowed to fly?

National or State parks are a no fly zone. For city parks check their web site if they one. I fly most of the time at Ayden District park about 10 miles outside of Greenville NC

Mooresville area here. I usually fly from my backyard keep it pretty low due to all of the airports I am within rage of. Cant wait to get to a nice clear area.

I live in Havelock, NC, about 40 miles away from Greenville and 26 miles away from Jacksonville. Good to know there are flyers around me

Morehead City checking in (a little late)!  Talk about NFZ I'm surrounded!  FAA said Military own all of the airspace here so he suggested I talk to them.  Spoke with Cherry Point Airfield and they
gave me the OK but he did talk a lot about knowing 107.

Wow maybe they will insure both of mines for $60 we will see she asked me to get an appraisal
