Perhaps you could post a small clip to demonstrate what you are talking about. BTW, most Vegas users disable the GPU assist when rendering anyway as it is extremely buggy.

4k is only good for far scenery shots . Anything with fast pace is bound to be blurry ..Also the too low bite rate doesn't help . When i have to shoot fast pace/fast panning i use 1080P/60fps . Make sure the output on your software matches your output on your P3P . Maybe your sony Vegas is set to transcode into sometiing different than 4k/24fps .

Haven't tried it yet , but you may get slightly better results in 2.7k as is films in 30fps.

I thought the Phantom 3 Pro' camera had a recent firmware update, to boost it to 16mp?
It doesn't seem quite right that the Standard, Advanced and Professional should all have the same 12mp still camera capabilities!!

I need to delve into this again, further tomorrow. I was given the impression of a slightly bigger picture...
Thanks for reminding me about this.

The camera will only ever capture 12mp because the sensor only has 12 million pixels.  You can interpolate that to whatever value you want in post processing, but you're still only working with 12mp.

I don't think it will work, as the original footage is still only 24 FPS (4096 x 2160p 24/25 fps),  ...

That's what i meant, 3840 x 2160p  at 30 fps. The 200 pixel difference should surely be a minor loss in contrast to a smoother movement.

4K video that I have shot has a data rate of ~60mbps.  This is about twice the data rate of 1080P video.  However in the 4K world this is still a low data rate.  I shoot very little 4K but still glad to have a Pro over the Advanced because of the higher data rate for the downlink video transmission. Look down to the Lightbridge data rate, Pro is much higher.
Also note flight time for Pro is 2 min less - camera and lightbridge suck a little more power.
