Hi All,

Ive recently built a F550 with Naza M v2, Zenmuse H4-3d with GoPro Hero4 Black.

I test flew it yesterday with the gimball and noticed when in flight there is a noticable vertical "twitch" quite frequently.

I have stood it on the bench for 1/2 hr and the gimball doesnt move an inch.

Anyone got any suggestions on where the problem might lie?

Im using Futaba radio gear (18sz with a 7008sb) the gimball tilt is configured on one of the sliders at present.

Not sure if it any help but in fast forward flight it seems to twitch less.

it could be caused by aircraft vibrations. Please try to change the vibration dampers and  balance the props

I have the same issue,  but using Wookong-M controller and DJI-1187 GCU.  The problem is characterised in my YouTube videos:    and   The Gimbal has already been returned once and a replacement was provided which has the same problem.  I have been tearing my hair out trying to find the problem, but everything leads back to the unfortunate conclusion that the gimbal is faulty.  My props & motors are both well balanced, it only seems to be at certain angles (but of course those are the ones I most want to use).  

The replacement gimbal also has a tendency for the horizon to be slightly tilted to the right.

Just to clarify, is the WKM and GCU up to date with the latest firmware? Have you already performed an IMU and X1 calibration? Have you tried using differnt dampeners?

Wookong M firmware is V5.26
GCU V1.14
IMU 1.12

There is no facility for me to perform an IMU calibration with the Wookong-M assistant or GPU assistant software.
X1 (battery voltage) has been calibrated.
The problem is also evident when the quad is stationary, props not running.  So this is not a vibration issue.

Do you see any difference when upgrading the IMU to 1.13? When you had the gimbal replaced, was it through DJI or your dealer?

Hi, the gimbal was replaced via DJI.

On the H-3D software, the upgrade tab states the following:

GCU Loader 0.0 Hardware ID none  Firmware 1.14  Upgrade Latest version 1.14
IMU Loader 0.8  Hardware ID 19093151  Firmware 1.12  Upgrade Latest version 1.12

There does not appear to be a firmware version 1.13 available to me (unless it has been released in the past 48 hours).

V1.4.2.  On the Info tab it says "Current version 1.4    No Updates".

I now have an RMA code and am returning both the gimbal (for 2nd time) and controller (1st time) for repair.
