i just seen some videos on youtube where people are saying they were flying in ce mode. im curious if this is somthing you can change in the app? or is this set some how automaticly? my understanding is that this is configured by default when they were shiped from the manufactor.

The older model Phantoms you could adjust FCC or CE mode by a screw on the back of the controller. Now it is set by the GPS position of your aircraft when you power it up.

Hi, based on the information above,  I would assume the transmitter will change the Transmitter Power (EIRP) according the our location? Hence, there are no different when we got an EU or USA model then? I bought a Phantom 3 Advanced from official DJI store last January and they shipped me the EU model even though I am in Asia (Malaysia).  Planning to buy another Phantom but eager to get a FCC model. Otherwise, I might request DJI to send me a USA model.

Is there a way to tell which mode the aircraft is using in the DJI Go App?  Thanks.

If you are in the US, then you are in FCC mode. I don't know if there's a way to tell.

Is there a list somewhere that we can use to see what the drone will do (FCC or CE) in a particular location?

I believe many of us is eager to see the list as well, DJI ??

Will the modes be changed/updated if the UK votes to leave the EU on June 23rd?

UK will then need CAA mode, not EU mode.

Based on some issue I have read about it sounds like US have FCC mode and the rest of the world get CE mode.

Based on a Google search neither standard is actually used in a Australia. I look like in Australia you have to get RCM certification.

Step right up!  Right this way!!  Something for everyone!!!  As long as you want only FCC or CE Mode, that is!!!

Just like the first Ford cars.  Any color you want,  so long as it's black..
