Just bought the Inspire 1 pro a few weeks ago, and I really love it!

The price for the Inspire 1 Pro in Sweden/Denmark is 6,389.90 USD, incl. 3 batteries. not exactly pocket change — at that price the quality has to be great and it is....apart from the Case.

The zipper on the Case has already failed on the 5th. trip... it broke!

DJI (online chat) says no warranty on the Case? And no compensation!

DJI: Is that the official message?

What do you think? Is it fair?

Hi Ken, thank you for your reply.  I have already ordered a proper case from a third party.

We can not use a case of such poor quality - I just think that in order to keep your clients happy and loyal, you should address this widespread problem head on and offer some compensation like a free battery,  a smile and a happy meal - instead of .... "Sorry no warranty!"

I totally understand your position, I too have an Inspire V2 and the zipper is tight on the corners.
DJI provides this complementary case to keep everything nice and neat at your home. It's really not meant to be running all over with. I know some people have used the inserts and purchased their own high quality case.
I know this isn't the answer you are looking, and I'm sorry.

Hi Ken, thanks for your reply are you an employee of DJI?

If we had known that the case was an "indoor-only Do not zip/unzip more than 40 times", we whould have bought a better case from day one...

We will survive the slight bump - after all the Inspire 1 pro is just awesome.

I think that's why they say complementary on the "In The Box" paper that comes with the Inspire and also online. I think it was never meant to be a long term case.
Yes, the Inspire is an awesome machine and there's nothing out there like this for the money.
And yes, I am a DJI employee

An incredibly complex and technically advanced aircraft. I have one coming soon, if a zipper is the worst thing that breaks, I'll be thrilled to death!

Get a lube stick crayon from hardware store. Used for years on my jeep soft top window. Noticed case zipper would hang on edges. Ran the crayon over the teeth good and zipped a bunch to work it in. Silky smooth operation now.

Yes, a candle is what I used too!  Also, I've discovered if you lift the lid slightly as you go around the corners (even the front corners) it seems to help prevent it from binding resulting in a smoother operation.

Indeed the original DJI case will not survive much more than a delicate and personal treatment. To be fair, the manufacturer didn't promised anything more, nothing like a Pelican grade cases will provide. Don't trust this case when traveling by a plane!

BTW, I've also found that slightly lifting up the cover when zipping around far corners (near hinge) helps a lot. A smear of silicone lubricant does another miracle to.
