does anyone knows if the external mikrofon socket have  phantom power for an Electret-Mic
and ... ist it a mono or stereo input?

It's mono.
It has power according to one youtube video I saw.

I already own the handheld for my Inspire 1 X3 Cam... so... anyway. I pluged in a Sony EC 717 Stereo Mic and it works... I only have to check if I have one or two channels. :-)

What matters is how many recording  channels exist. Not if a pl stereo plug works.

Despite it is stereo my advise is using a mono mic as the iGoMic mini shotgun. The built -in microphone is definitely mono.

I've just checked with a RØDE Stereo VideoMic Pro.

Both channels contain the same audio. i.e. The output is Dual Mono.

I read that post too.  I wish we could have a firm decision as to what it really is.

So you mean you get a stereo audio file with the exact same audio o both channels?

I think a more accurate test would be use a pl plug splitter and connect to it two totally different sources. not a onw stereo mic.

The question is whether the 3.5mm Osmo microphone input records stereo. It doesn't. It's mono.

If it was recording in stereo, you would see a similar waveform in both channels -- but with differing amplitudes. In this case the recordings are identical.
