I'm wondering if it's planed to add a Feature to the OSMO, were I can Setup a defined Rotation of pan and tilt during timelapse...
For example. 90° pan ClockWise in 50min and 45° tilt upwards in 40min or something...

This really would make sense on such a device. Static timlapse as the OSMO is supporting today can be done with every phone...
Hope to have this integrated within the next FW updates very soon...

And DJI-Amy promised us that this feature will be implemented.
For me THE reason buying the Osmo!

But when?! Nobody knows... guess we have to be patient on this one while they have to fix more serious bugs first.

How do you propose to power the Osmo for a 50min timelapse since the battery rarely gives more than 35min recording time?

Perhaps a power saving mode could be implemented, whereby the wifi signal strength would be dropped and active video transmission would cease while a timelapse was recording. Hell, I'd like that as an option for regular video mode actually. Freeze the image until you stop recording, perhaps.

Well , That would be a bettert issue . We have a long way to go !

We really need a power adapter for the Osmo.

Perhaps someone can 3d print a battery shape, hollowed out. Some instructables for wiring up the pins?

Meanwhile, can  DJI please manufacture an adapter accessory?

was exactly my plan - worstcase: "destroy" a original Battery and remove the 3s LiPo to attach a cable / Connector...3s LiPo's are going up to more than 10000mAh...;-)

How about a car lighter adapter with a 12 foot cord!

This timelapse I dd on my iPad would be impossible on the Osmo without plugin-power. Took a few hours....

I really hope they implement motion timelapse support soon. BUT when they do i also hope they fix ramping on start and stop so we can get soft starts and stops on the pan and tilt.

Sure would be cool to be able to DTAP out of a Brick battery into the Osmo.  With my 5d m3, I bought a LP-E6 to DTAP, where I connect to one of my Red Brick battery and power the 5d for up to 8 hrs of continuous shooting.  It's a great tool as I've done some incredibly long time-lapses with that approach..  Would be cool to have something of this nature for the Osmo, considering how quickly the batteries burn out on me...

Please also be noticed that DJI have released additional official battery accessories which allow you to charge the Osmo battery with an external power supply for a longer footage recording duration.

The battery replacer would allow wall power with a cheap 12v supply or if that isn't available any common 12v battery would work.

There is a battery replacer for Osmo already. I haven't tested it but it is simply a 12v receptacle wired to a battery case. http://store.dji.com/product/osmo-external-battery-extender

The External Battery Extender is another solution for the demanding of a longer duration of the Osmo, please find more relevant information in the official website.

There are battery replacers from DJI on the market though apparently there are some issues. Once those are sorted, I think it would be great for dynamic timelapses and even pan/tilt path controlled real time repeatable moves.
