DJI Releases NewFirmware for Zenmuse Aerial Gimbals

New firmware upgrades are now available for the Zenmuse Z15-5D III (HD), Z15-BMPCC, Z15-A7, and Z15-GH4(HD). Please visit the respective product page to download the assistant software and update your firmware.

The GCU firmware version of the four gimbals has been updated to v3.0. The Z15-5D III ((HD) and Z15-GH4(HD) support gimbal auto calibration through the DJI GO app.

Note:

This firmware only supports DJI GO v2.5.0 or above.

This update only applies to A2 plus Lightbridge 2 systems.

BMPCC:

Major Updates:

Tim...is there any new upgrades for the Z15-GH3? I have 2 1000's with them and the last upgrade, about a year ago, went wrong and we had to downgrade. Because of that I cant upgrade the A2 or Lightbridge.

Right now updates only available for Zenmuse Z15-5D III (HD), Z15-BMPCC, Z15-A7, and Z15-GH4(HD)

So now I have downgraded to Main Controller v. 1.0
Still Have IMU version 1.12.

Still Have the same chicken dance... Wrong/Bad IMU version?

Guys,  please please and please stop doing updates on your gimbals right away!   There are a lot of people either bricking or experiencing abnormal functions in their gimbals because they feel like they have to do an upgrade as soon as they see one is available.  Its not the case!  If its not broken, it does not need to be upgraded!    Always wait a good month or two to see if there are any reports of the updates causing issues.  To be honest with you I only upgrade if I see that the update will give me something I don't already have or if its a major fix.   But still, its a good rule of thumb to always wait, check if there are any bugs or malfunctions reported before updating.

Follow this and you will save yourself a lot of headache, and the time having to wait for a new update or having to ship back to DJI for repair. (We all know how long that could take!)

To be fair though, the firmware has been out something like 2 years, so you'd think DJI what have the decency to fix it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I couldn't agree with you more Rambo.   Like I said before, seems like us the DJI Spreadwings owners who spends more money for our equipment are pushed to the side while they focus their efforts on their Phantoms and Inspire 1 series.  Its a shame.
