If I buy a new battery and my P3P has the latest firm ware update, when I put the battery into the P3P, will it update to the latest firmware automatically?  Also, what is the latest firm ware updates for the P3P and the battery?  Are they different numbers?

It will update only if you have the firmware in the root folder of the SD card.  Download the latest firmware from DJI.com
