Hello, I am trying to update the RC transmitter but it will not accept any new firmware. Every time I attempt the update the results file says

Result: Abort
The firmware on the SD card is identical to or older than the current firmware on the remote controller.

The current firmware on the controller is 1.2.0.17

I have tried several versons of the firmware and also the reset firmware. Nothing works. I have two transmitters and the one updated just fine but the other will not. Any Ideas? Thanks

I noticed one more thing. The transmitter that I was able to update is a model GL658C and the one I am having the issue with is a GL658A, not sure if that matters

What version firmware are you trying to update to?  What version is on the Inspire?
What version is on your RC?  Is this the Master RC or Slave?
Have you done this reset.....
I got this from TE
Delete the App,  Reset the RC, then reinstall the App. This is a known issue with v2.4.3.
First - Delete the App
Second - Reset the RC, Please press C1+C2+Shutter (Video on the left side) at the same time, turn off and turn on the RC without releasing these buttons. After resetting, the indicator of RC should be Red.
Please reset master and slave if using dual op.
This procedure resets the output board..
Third -  then reinstall the App. This is a known issue with v2.4.3.

I am trying to upgrade to  v1.3.0.60 (rc version 1.5.70) It is currently on version 1.2.0.17. The transmitter is the slave tx but I have made it the master but it will still not update. It works fine and binds I just cant update the firmware. I tried the reset procedure but it did not work. Thanks

The C is much better and has 5 dbm more power output and much more range - at least if the A meets official specs.............

Send the A to DJI for replacment if you are lucky they send you a C back.

Yes it does. Everything works fine I am just unable to update the RC firmware on the A model transmitter. Is that a problem with that model? The C model updated just fine.

Because you are at 1.2.70, you need to upgrade to 1.3 via USB.  1.3 is where DJI changed and makes all the updates from the IPAD.  Copy the 1.3 .bin file on the USB, turn on RC only for the upgrade.   You can go to the DJI website and look at the release notes and see what I am talking about.   It is under 1.3 upgrade in the Notice section.
Hopefully this will solve your problem.

That fixed it. Apparently you cant jump from 1.2.70 right to 1.6.0. You must go to 1.3.0 first. Thanks very much

Correct, 1.3 has the controller update and you need to stop there before going to 1.5 or 1.6.
