Good evening,
Bought my first Phantom (3 Standard) last week and I've accidentally left the gimbal clamp on a couple times (no more than 3) while booting the Phantom up. Trying to be extremely careful when transporting the Phantom, as this is a big investment for me.

My question is, how often have people destroyed their camera and gimbal because they leave the clamp on when booting the Phantom?

Thanks,

wow you can damage the motors of your gimbal if you turn on the quad with that clamp on ,  you can do a check list
or maybe something like this  jeje

No, it will not damage the gimbal, it can sense the overcurrent condition.

It won't damage but you should put a brightly colored tag on it as a reminder...also be sure to remove the white foam insert on the back of the gimbal before flight
