I just got my phantom and noticed that its running on "1.3.20+" firmware  seems to be working fine and im actually scared of updating its firmware as i have read here several issues

should i stay or is the firmware update worth it?

Don't be in any hurry to update. Fly it as is. Take your time and consider the pros and cons of updating. Ignore the "update required" message in the GO app. Also, 1.3.20+ is actually 1.4.1
