The camera has dropped from over $5000 to $3199 now at B&H.  Seems like a much better deal now for shooting 4K DNG RAW video in the sky.

Well when the camera arrives its technics will be almost obsolete already like 4K at 30p while the switch to 60p technic is just knocking on the door.

Sad, but true.

Still I will be looking at the X5R in the future, maybe when it goes on sale or something.

Still too expensive for such a small sensor...

Consumer drone technology is only ever one step away from becoming oselete, it goes with the territory! Everyone is always so fast to complain about all of the firmware glitches that we all deal with, yet if DJI kept their latest technology in R&D until the glitches are ironed out our tech would (no doubt) be obselete BEFORE we get our hands on it!

Its not so much the glitches its the downgrades (speed 22 ---> 18m/s, geofence, orbit radius limit, alt limit,.....) which are the problems with the firmware.

Just for a gimbal who is able to take a cam with larger sensor you'll buy the Price of a X5R...

Always good when prices drop - Perhaps the sales and demand for the X5 have not been as high as expected ?

Still scares the hell out of me to have that much money dangling below 4 props.  I love the results of the x5 though so I can only imagine what this thing can do.

I yeah ive holding out becuase of the 60mbs limit in 4k.
