and cropping is everything in post processing

I never crop. I don't see the point. Just get the shot right, it saves time.

Telling the truth and being honest are not the same in my opinion.  I can tell you the truth about  ...

I also disagree. I'm also a photographer; you can apply the same "anyone/everyone can do it" to any photo ever taken. You send 3 photographers to the same event and often get back different photos because each individual will see things in a different way. That's the human element. Just like artists will sketch a different image of the same figure sitting in the same room or video editors, all given the same footage, will never have the same final edited product.

I agree that the same POV and beach/ocean scene can become repetitive (maybe that's what you are trying to say), but it's mostly because Chen Jin Weng approaches his compositions in a similar way with his UAV and has applied a square crop approach to all. The camel shot is especially successful because the line of the dune ridge, mimicked by the line of the trail re-inforce the long awesome shadows. It's all a bit of luck, vision, and skill for all photographers whether a photo was nailed or not. It doesn't matter if it was shot on a phone /Canon /Nikon/brownie but what does matter is the brain behind the camera that gets the final image.

I never crop. I don't see the point. Just get the shot right, it saves time.

There's nothing wrong whatsoever with cropping or post-processing an image.  I do wildlife photography as a hobby, shooting mostly in Nikon RAW format, and both are skills that can and do add immensely to the quality and art of the photograph.  Most, if not all, of the top-tier nature photographers would agree, I believe.

Composition in-camera is critical, but the artificiality of the frame aspect ratio dictated by camera/sensor should never be a limitation on what the photographer wants to show.
