Hello guys! So we are using the s900/GH4 combo which is marvelous, however we've come across a slight issue to do with the System Frequency.

So after a few test shoots/flights we wanted to start shooting true 4k. So to shoot true 4k you need to set your frequnecy to 24.00Hz (Cinema), however when we power on with this as the setting we get a white screen and no image on our monitor (Black Pearl), previously we were using 50.00Hz (PAL) and it worked everytime no problem. To overcome the issue we have to set the camera to 50.00Hz, start up the drone, then while its on switch back to the 24.00Hz so we can shoot in true 4k.

Ideally we would like to be able to power on while in 24.00Hz to avoid this messing around. Anyone else experienced this or has any resolutions?

I think its just the standard 5.8ghz Immersion transmitter, nothing special at the moment!

How about change another monitor?  It seems would be some kinds of problem with this monitor.

Thanks for the reply and suggestions. The screen works perfectly fine on 50 ghz and again when we switch between the two it somtimes comes on - odd. I've set it up at Cinema mode for 4k filming and have both a new pair of goggles and screen on, the IOSD comes up however the image is just white on both.

I confirm this problem with our engineer and I was told that GH4 can only support 4K in 50Hz but 4K in cinema mode ,because the resolution ratio of 4K in cinema mode is higher than 4K in 50Hz.

Yes, we are fully aware of this, hence why we are wanting to film in cinema mode to achieve true 4k resolution.

The issue we are having is that when we power up the s900 and GH4 combo that we just get a white screen - shown above (when in the cinema GHz)

Did you ever get to the bottom of the white screen issue with your S900?

I have recently bought a S900 and I only get live video out my black pearl monitor very occasionally.

Any thoughts?

Nah we didn't, no-one could offer the advice needed. We can only shoot in 3800 res rather than true 4k, give that a go and let me know how you get on?
