With a little bit of digging and a number of emails i belive i got an answer from the UAS crew at the FAA. After emailing the UAS help desk about my intention to bring my drone to the USA for non commercial flying i recieved this answer;

"As per FAA the registration should be done while you are inside US territory or you are on a valid US IP address to access the website for registration.
http://www.faa.gov/uas/registration/faqs/.In order to compete the registration process you have to have a valid U.S. mailing address."


Has anyone else travelling to the USA dealt with this at all? If so could you describe your experiance and if you were able to fly and take footage without any issues. Im only saying because i cannot register till i get to the USA because my IP address keeps getting blocked, so iam hoping it will not be a drama at the airport.
